Life and Pallets
Often overlooked, not really mentioned in the final story until they’re needed, yet always there. Pallets are an essential part of industry. Made to be strong, they can support anywhere from 460-3500 pounds of pressure. If they could speak, what would they say? Where have they been? What great businesses have they helped create?
Disregarded until necessary, probably broken or tattered, their sharp edges approached with caution for fear of getting a splinter or cut by a loose nail. I can’t help but think of people in the same way.
To the ones who are always willing to go above and beyond, carrying the weight of situations they may not fully need to. Always dependable, only to be forgotten in the long run. Fractured and fragmented through the many trials and circumstances life throws at us, and yet they still find a way to hold it together and carry on for another day. Perseverance.
At the same time, there are those who notice their unique design can be used for something beautiful. A garden bed, holding the beauty of life, a picture frame displaying memories and loved ones we hold so dear, the centerpiece of deepening relationships while gathered around a bonfire. What unique beauty they possess. What unique beauty YOU possess.
Take notice of the broken pallet and remember, no matter what you’ve gone through, no matter how shattered you may feel, someone has taken notice of you, your beauty, your potential.
